Qualitative and quantitative analysis of biological products

Soil is home to millions of microorganisms, most of which are very important for healthy plant growth. The majority of microorganisms influence soil fertility and plant productivity through decomposition and nutrient recycling. However, some microorganisms (for e.g., mycorrhizal fungi and nitrogen-fixing bacteria) directly interact with plants and promote their growth. Testing the quality and quantity of important microorganisms is a beneficial option in optimizing plant growth.

The main purposes of qualitative and quantitative analysis:

  • to estimate the number of microorganisms and their compliance with the declared parameters in the biological product;
  • to test the interactions between plants and beneficial microbes.
